Andrew Midgley is a seasoned professional in land use policy and environmental management with extensive experience across various organizations. Currently serving as the Senior Land Use Policy Officer at RSPB since September 2019, Andrew previously held the position of Policy Manager at NFU Scotland and served as a Trustee for Tweed Forum, which focuses on sustainable management of the Tweed catchment. Andrew has also contributed to Scottish Land & Estates in multiple roles, including Policy & Research Manager, and has a strong research background with experience as a Researcher at Scottish Agricultural College and as a Biodiversity Implementation Officer at Scottish Natural Heritage. Andrew holds a Ph.D. from The University of Edinburgh, focusing on biodiversity and conservation, as well as a BSc (Hons) in Geography from the same institution.
