Seamus Burns

Seamus Burns has extensive experience in nature conservation and management, currently serving as Area Manager for West Northern Ireland at RSPB since June 2009. In this role, Seamus oversees operations across multiple nature reserves and leads significant programs, including the Co-operation Across Borders for Biodiversity (CABB) and the Lough Erne Landscape Partnership (LELP). Previous positions include Lough Neagh Area Manager, where responsibilities involved managing the Portmore Lough nature reserve and landscape conservation projects, and Restoration Officer for RSPB's Futurescapes program. Seamus has also worked as Biodiversity Officer for the Lough Neagh Partnership and as Promotions/Reserves Officer at Ulster Wildlife Trust. Educationally, Seamus holds a BSc in Open Degree from The Open University.
