Sumek Elimban

Sumek Elimban began their work experience in 2010 as a Summer Research Student at the University of Manitoba. In 2011, they joined RTDS Technologies Inc. as a Simulation Engineer, where they conducted research and development for Modular Multilevel Converters for the RTDS simulator. Sumek also modeled power electronic cases in a small time step environment and tested new software functions focused on power electronic models. Sumek was responsible for documentation and the commissioning and installation of the RTDS Simulator. In 2016, they transitioned to the role of R&D Supervisor, overseeing power electronic applications. In October 2018, they were promoted to Lead Applications Engineer, specializing in power electronics and HVDC.

Sumek Elimban obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manitoba. In February 2016, Sumek obtained the certifications of Professional Engineer from Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba and completed the Challenge of Leadership Program from the Professional Development Group. In February 2020, Sumek obtained the certification in Strategy and Leadership Program from the Asper School of Business - Executive Education.
