Charles de Verdun is a skilled engineer with extensive experience in high voltage direct current (HVDC) and power systems. Currently serving as Chargé d'etude Expertise at RTE Réseau de Transport d'Electricité since August 2022, Charles leads the Biscay Gulf HVDC interconnection as a Lead P&C Engineer. Previous positions include roles as an HV IED Products Engineer and HV Grid Electronics Support Engineer at GE Grid Solutions, as well as an Operations & Maintenance R&D Engineer at EDF Energy. Charles began a career in engineering at Supelec, specializing in System Engineering & Automation. Education includes a Diplôme d'ingénieur from CentraleSupélec and an equivalent L2 in Maths-Physics from fenelon-sainte marie.
