Olivier Despouys is an experienced R&D Project Manager at RTE Réseau de Transport d'Electricité, with a focus on network development and HVDC technology since January 2003. Olivier has been responsible for technical coordination in several European projects, notably DEMO #2 in the Best Paths project, concentrating on interoperability for VSC HVDC converters. Additional notable achievements include technical support for various HVDC initiatives, contributions to significant network codes, and participation as a French Regular Member for CIGRE Study Committee B4. Olivier holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Artificial Intelligence from LAAS-CNRS and two master's degrees in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science from Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III and ENSEEIHT, respectively. Prior work includes software engineering roles at RTE and EDF, focusing on software development and IT project management.
