Jacob Smith, PhD, currently serves as an Innovation Advisor at RTI Innovation Advisors since September 2019, having previously held the role of Innovation Analyst. Prior to this, Jacob accumulated experience at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from August 2013 to September 2019, where roles included Licensing Fellow and Intern in the Office of Technology Commercialization, as well as Graduate Research Assistant in Sustainable Catalysis. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry (with Honors) and Spanish from Austin College.
