Tom Kleckner

Tom Kleckner is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in the electric industry. Currently serving as the ERCOT/SPP Correspondent at RTO Insider since July 2015, Tom develops relationships with stakeholders and provides independent coverage of key issues in the electric industry. Previous roles include Marketplace Communications at Southwest Power Pool, where Tom was the primary media contact and worked on significant industry developments, and Principal/Senior Communications Strategist at Kleckner Consulting, managing communications for ERCOT’s Nodal Program. Additionally, Tom has held roles at Luminant, TXU, Central & South West Corp., and Central Power & Light, focusing on media relations, communications strategy, and corporate messaging. Tom holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and a Bachelor's in Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin.
