Chris Dobson

Chris Dobson is the Chief Operating Officer (COO), overseeing Maintenance, RTS Access, Scheduling, and Transportation Services. Chris joined RGRTA in 2003 as a member of the Finance team and worked his way up to Vice President of Finance and Vice President of Transportation Services, before being promoted to COO.

In his 20 years with the Authority, Chris has been instrumental to the success of significant, innovative projects. These include the transformation of RGRTA’s legacy financial system, assisting with oversight for the design, planning and implementation of Reimagine RTS, and developing an Operational Excellence scorecard to improve engagement with and among Bus Operators. Thanks to his leadership, RTS has achieved a stable record of safety and improved customer satisfaction, reached record results in on-time performance, and has been recognized for these sound processes by the Greater Rochester Quality Council.

He is a graduate of SUNY Fredonia and the University of Rochester Simon Business School and was recognized by Mass Transit Magazine in 2017 as a top 40 under 40 best and brightest. Chris is also a graduate of Leadership Rochester, and a member of the finance committee for Epilepsy Pralid, Inc.

Chris resides in Hilton with his wife and son.
