Samantha B. Larsen, PhD, currently serves as a Venture Associate at RTW Investments, LP, where responsibilities include conducting scientific due diligence on novel gene targets and evaluating the risk and potential of biotechnology companies. Previously, Samantha held the position of Alzheimer's Association Research Fellow at New York University, focusing on the cellular consequences of neuroinflammation in the brain during a postdoctoral fellowship. This followed a Graduate Research Fellowship at The Rockefeller University, where research was conducted in the Laboratory of Mammalian Cell Biology and Development under Dr. Elaine Fuchs. Samantha earned a PhD in Biology/Biological Sciences from The Rockefeller University and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, along with a degree in History from the University of Pittsburgh. Notably, Samantha graduated as the valedictorian from Long Beach High School.
