Ls Rao

Dr Rao has over 50 years of pharmaceutical research experience coupled with regulatory expertise. He has numerous patents and publications in the area of drug delivery systems. During this time he has headed scientific affairs at Chauvin Pharmaceuticals (UK) and Smith and Nephew Pharmaceuticals (UK), and headed product development at Indian operations of Burroughs Wellcome (GlaxoSmithKline). Dr Rao is widely regarded as an expert in developing complex dosage forms such as AMETOP®, NODS®, MINIMS® format, and development of an aqueous suspension formulation of acyclovir for the treatment of herpes simplex keratitis amongst many others. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and Member of the British Institute of Regulatory Affairs.
