Caitlin James

Caitlin James, CPA, has extensive experience in accounting and financial management. Currently serving as an Accountant at RubinBrown LLP since September 2022, Caitlin previously worked as the City Treasurer for the City of Effingham from August 2017 to August 2022, where responsibilities included providing financial analysis to support city council decisions and developing the $30 million annual budget. Prior to that, Caitlin held positions as a General Ledger Accountant at Heartland Dental and as a Staff Accountant at Sikich. Caitlin initially gained experience as an Audit Intern at Sikich, strengthening a solid foundation in accounting through a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Illinois State University, earned in 2015.
