Alexander Kanitz

Alexander Kanitz is a Co-Founder at LIDROTEC since October 2019, overseeing research, product development, and technical sales with a focus on laser materials processing. At Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Kanitz serves as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter, leading a start-up transfer project centered on laser ablation in liquids and investigating pulsed laser ablation for magnetic nanoparticle generation. Previous experience includes roles as a research assistant at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, where work involved characterizing magnetic nano- and microstructures and synthesizing magnetic nanoparticles, as well as a student research assistant at Ruhr-Universität Bochum, focusing on atmospheric pressure plasma jets. Kanitz has also completed an internship at Boston Consulting Group and fulfilled a social/community service role in Canada. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Physics from Ruhr University Bochum and a Master of Science from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
