Andreas Loeschel is a prominent academic and expert in economics, currently serving as the Chairman of the Directorium of the Academy Initiative "Energiesysteme der Zukunft" at acatech – Deutsche Akademie der Technikwissenschaften and Leopoldina since January 2024. With extensive experience as a Professor of Economics and Chief Sustainability Officer at Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Andreas holds a chair in Environmental/Resource Economics and Sustainability.
