Omar David Velasquez Pinto

Omar David Velasquez Pinto is currently a Studentische Hilfskraft at Ruhr-Universität Bochum, where responsibilities include supporting the Software Engineering course through grading exercises and assisting in the Chair of Energy Systems Engineering and Power Mechatronics. Prior to this role, Omar gained experience as an engineering intern with Enel Group, contributing to the mapping updates for maintenance projects impacting Bogotá's electrical distribution network and monitoring medium and low voltage networks. In addition, Omar served as an Engineering Assistant at LABE, where tasks involved preparing laboratory reports for tests on medium and high voltage electrical equipment. Omar is pursuing a degree in Electronic Engineering from Ruhr University Bochum and Universidad Nacional de Colombia, with studies ongoing since August 2022 and March 2021, respectively.
