Rural on Purpose
Building Strong Rural Communities through Entrepreneurship Point of View Rural on Purpose is the point of view of people who have made the conscious choice to live in rural communities. It is the positive message of optimism and empowerment and a commitment to strengthen our communities through the development of our entrepreneurial culture. Why Entrepreneurship? Today entrepreneurship is much more than business development – It’s a mindset. It’s a mindset of growth and a vehicle for change. It’s the entrepreneurship of a new generation and it’s exactly what rural communities all over the world need more of to solve challenges and grow. Entrepreneurs envision the future and then CREATE it. Programming We develop and pilot programs that support entrepreneurial growth in rural regions. The program pilots generate data and feedback that we use to iterate and grow the program or discard it if it doesn’t show positive results. Not only do we support entrepreneurs, we ARE social entrepreneurs. Our programs are informed by two types of knowledge – deep knowledge that is found within our own communities and global network knowledge that comes from sharing our challenges and solutions with other communities around the world. Follow our Blog and signup to join the conversation and participate. Individual pilot projects will be discussed and updated regularly.
