Al Lewis has held various significant roles throughout a distinguished career in public service and emergency management. Currently serving as the Government Affairs Chairman for the Greater Corning Area Chamber of Commerce and as a consultant/lobbyist for Rural/Metro Corporation, Al Lewis has extensive experience in advocating for community interests. Additionally, Al Lewis has been the Steuben County Coroner since 1976 and a retired Critical Care Technician for the Corning Ambulance Service. Al Lewis is actively involved in governance, having served on the Guthrie Corning Hospital Board as Secretary and as a Trustee, as well as being a Planning and Zoning Commissioner for the City of Corning. Notably, Al Lewis was also the Mayor of Corning from 1999 to 2005 and was a founding board member and past president of the United New York Ambulance Network, advocating for proprietary ambulance companies at both state and federal levels.
