Barb Douglas has extensive work experience in healthcare leadership and management. From 2002 to 2013, they held various roles at Provena Mercy Medical Center, including Director of Emergency and Trauma Services, Director of Patient Care Operations, and Manager of Nursing Administration. In these roles, they oversaw the operations of the Emergency Department, managed patient care operations, and provided leadership in nursing administration.

In 2012, Barb served as the Director of Emergency and Trauma Services and Interim Director of Critical Care Services at Presence Mercy Medical Center.

Since 2013, Barb has been with Rush Copley Medical Center, where they initially served as the Director of Critical Care and Respiratory Services. In January 2020, they were promoted to their current position as the Director of the Heart & Vascular Service Line, Critical Care, and Respiratory Services.

Barb Douglas has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Northern Illinois University. Additionally, they have obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on MBA from Benedictine University.
