Maarten Klaassen

Maarten Klaassen is a seasoned consultant currently leading the Global FoodAgTech and Synbio sectors at Russell Reynolds Associates since January 2020. Previously, Maarten served as Head of Partnerships & Public Policy and Business Manager at VodafoneZiggo from May 2017 to December 2019. Maarten also held key roles at the European Parliament as a Senior Political & Regulatory Advisor and EU Budget and Finance Advisor between December 2012 and April 2017, and briefly participated in a leadership exchange program at the U.S. Department of State in April 2015. Early career experiences include an editorial internship at De Groene Amsterdammer in 2011. Maarten's educational background includes studies at The London School of Economics and Political Science, the University of Amsterdam, and Utrecht University.
