Jian Song

Jian Song (Sammy) has over 20 years of experience in research and development within the coatings industry. Currently serving as a Senior R&D Scientist at Rust-Oleum Corporation since December 2013, Jian has notably achieved over $500,000 in annual cost savings through raw material cost reductions and performance enhancements. Contributions include the development of premium coatings and leading projects that garnered prestigious recognition, such as the R&D100 Award nomination and the Rustoleum Innovation Award. Previous roles include research and teaching assistant positions at The University of British Columbia and Queen's University, as well as chemist and project assistant roles at organizations like Atotech (China) Chemicals Ltd. and ICI Swire Paints (China) Ltd.
