Jan-Olaf Meynecke

Jan-Olaf Meynecke is an experienced Project Manager and Researcher at Griffith University since June 2018, also serving as CEO and Chief Scientist at Humpbacks&High-Rises where responsibilities include overseeing research programs and enhancing public awareness. As a Program Leader at Rustic Pathways and a Research Fellow at Griffith Centre for Coastal Management, Jan-Olaf contributes to various educational and research initiatives. Additionally, Jan-Olaf has served as a Casual Lecturer at The University of Queensland and has extensive experience in marine ecology research, having worked at the Australian Rivers Institute. Previous roles include Scientific Co-ordinator at the German Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Research Assistant at GKSS. Jan-Olaf holds a PhD in Marine Biology from Griffith University, earned from 2005 to 2008.
