Kait Z. Weiss

In my role, I work closely with the Strategic Outreach and Marketing team to develop engagement strategies for students, alumni, employers, and campus partners. Our group strives to build awareness of the department, all career-related programs, various services, and large-scale signature events (e.g., career fairs, large networking events, conferences, etc.) for Career Exploration and Success (CES).

Prior to CES, I managed a student marketing team that worked to enhance the student experience as the Associate Director of Marketing for Student Engagement for the division of Student Affairs at Rutgers University–New Brunswick. Previously, I served as the Assistant Director of Multimedia Production for the Rutgers University Alumni Association. My experience working with different organizations and with multiple audiences has provided me the ability to adapt and improve engagement strategies for the Rutgers community.

Born and raised in New Jersey, however, I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Rhode Island in film media. I later returned to my roots to receive my master's degree from the School of Communication and Information at Rutgers–New Brunswick with a concentration in digital media.

If I could give one piece of advice to students, it would be to explore new opportunities, skills, and available resources.
