Kara Carpenter

Kara Carpenter is an experienced professional in event management and community engagement. Currently serving as the Director of Events and Investor Engagement at the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce since March 2024, Kara previously held the position of Director of Engagement and Volunteerism at the United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties from July 2022 to February 2024. Prior experience includes the role of Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Roscoe Brown, Inc. from January 2020 to July 2022, and an extensive tenure at the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce, where Kara served as Director of Events and Programs and later as Programs Assistant from April 2006 to October 2019. Kara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Merchandising from Middle Tennessee State University, attained in 1991.
