Client Platform Engineering Technical Lead at RVU

Alex Wood has extensive experience in the field of IT support and system administration. They started their career as an Information Technology Support Analyst at Groupe PSA, providing remote support and site visits to dealerships. After completing their degree, they returned to Groupe PSA in a similar role.

In 2012, Alex joined Croudace Homes Limited as a System Administrator, responsible for system backups, user account administration, and troubleshooting. They were later promoted to Senior System Administrator, overseeing projects such as the company's migration to Windows 10 and the introduction of Android tablets and phones.

In 2019, Alex joined Houseful as a Client Platform Technical Lead, responsible for end user devices across multiple operating systems. They also served as a System Administrator and 3rd Line Support within the IT Operations team, managing internal IT projects and administering various tools and platforms.

Alex is currently employed at RVU as a Client Platform Technical Lead, where they provide technical leadership on end user devices and handle the administration and configuration of Microsoft Intune.

Alex Wood completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from Coventry University from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, Alex attended Reigate Sixth Form College from 2004 to 2006 and obtained A Levels in French, Maths, Electronics, and Computing. Alex also attended Ewell Castle School from 2001 to 2004 and completed GCSEs. Additionally, Alex has obtained various certifications including the Apple Certified Support Professional for macOS 11, Azure Active Directory Basics, Learning Google Workspace, and the Slack Certified Admin certification in October 2021, among others.
