Kara Neilson, a CPHR Candidate, has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Kara began their career as a Program Director at LA Weight Loss Centers in 2007. Kara then worked as a Receptionist at Waterite Technologies from 2008 to 2009. Kara joined Home Depot as a Human Resources Staffing Coordinator from 2009 to 2012. Kara later served as a Human Resources Administrator at Hudson's Bay Company from 2012 to 2016. Kara then transitioned to the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, where they held various HR roles. Kara started as a Human Resources Generalist from 2017 to 2020 and advanced to become a People Services Manager from 2020 to 2021. Currently, Kara is the Director of People Services at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, where they oversee HR functions and strategies, policy development, recruitment, employee relations, training and development, and compensation. Kara is dedicated to fostering a positive and inclusive culture while delivering exceptional HR services.
Kara Neilson, CPHR Candidate, has a Certificate in Management Development and an Honors Certificate in Human Resources Management from Red River College Polytechnic, which they obtained from 2008 to 2010. Kara also holds a Diploma in Business Administration from the same institution, earned from 2003 to 2005. Kara Neilson completed their high school education at Oak Park High School. Additionally, they have obtained the CPHR Candidate certification from CPHR Manitoba in 2021.
