Gonçalo Gomes Pedro

Gonçalo Gomes Pedro is a prominent professional in computational engineering and AI, currently serving as Principal and Head of RWDI Labs since June 2009, leading an R&D team to develop innovative technical solutions that support RWDI's strategic objectives within the AEC industry. With previous roles as Innovation and Technology Lead in CFD and as an Associate/Consultant, Gonçalo has significantly contributed to creating energy-efficient designs focused on thermal comfort within the built environment. Prior experience includes working as a Wind Research Engineer at Vestas Mediterranean and Vestas Asia Pacific, where Gonçalo developed advanced CFD methodologies for project siting and wind resource assessment. Gonçalo's academic credentials include a PhD and MASc in Mechanical Engineering (Fluid Mechanics) from the University of Victoria, as well as an Engineering degree in Aerospace Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico.
