Ron Aquino, Ph.D., P.Eng., is an accomplished civil engineer specializing in wind engineering and structural analysis. Currently serving as an Associate and Supervisor of the Wind Engineering (Buildings) Team at RWDI since August 2013, Ron leads technical coordination for diverse wind engineering and motion control projects. With a strong academic background, including a Ph.D. in Wind Engineering from Tokyo Polytechnic University, Ron has also held various engineering roles, including Senior Engineer at Motioneering and Senior Lecturer at the University of the Philippines. Ron has contributed to significant initiatives in disaster mitigation and preparedness while gaining extensive experience in performance-based seismic evaluations, structural health monitoring, and the development of design codes for wind loading.
