Renate Pechnig

Renate Pechnig serves as the Managing Director at Geophysica Beratungsgesellschaft mbH since January 2003, focusing on deep geothermal projects including feasibility studies, numerical modelling, reservoir characterization, and energy concept design for shallow geothermal applications. In parallel, Renate Pechnig has been a Lecturer in Petrophysics and Log Interpretation, as well as the Senior Scientist and Head of the Borehole Research Group at RWTH Aachen University since January 1996. Renate Pechnig has actively participated in numerous international research projects, notably as the chief scientist for the ODP/IODP from 1998 to 2006. Renate Pechnig holds a Dr. rer. nat. degree in Geology and Earth Sciences from RWTH Aachen University, earned between 1991 and 1995.
