Thijs Snelleman

Thijs Snelleman is a Scientific Programmer at RWTH Aachen University, focusing on developing best practices in Algorithm Configuration and Selection since October 2023. As a PhD candidate, Thijs is researching Reproducibility in AI. Previous experience includes working as a Data Scientist at Capgemini, where Thijs was involved in a project for the National Police on personnel planning and optimization, as well as roles as a Teaching Assistant at Universiteit Leiden and a Data Annotator for NLP research. Additional experience encompasses an internship in Machine Learning at McDermott International, an AI internship at ABN AMRO Bank, and positions in software development and data analysis at Invers and Strategy on Demand. Thijs holds a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and a Bachelor of Science in Informatica, both from Leiden University.
