Melanie Medcalf is an experienced scientific operations manager currently at RxBiologics since January 2024. Prior to this role, Melanie worked at AbCellera as the biotherapeutic production and bioanalytics lead and served as a senior scientist 2 and antibody engineering lead at Mestag Therapeutics. Previous positions include team leader and senior scientist II in immunology assay services at Horizon Discovery, and senior scientist at F-star Therapeutics, focusing on antibody drug discovery. Early in the career, Melanie contributed as a scientist at MedImmune, specializing in antibody discovery and protein engineering. Academic qualifications include a PhD in cellular and molecular biology from the University of Leeds and a BSc in microbiology from the University of Nottingham.
