Samad Kardan has an extensive work experience in engineering and research roles. Samad started their career as a Freelance Software Engineer, where they developed Information Management Systems for small and medium-sized enterprises. Samad then worked as a Research/Teaching Assistant at Amirkabir University of Technology and later at The University of British Columbia, where they also pursued a Ph.D. in a related field.
Following their academic pursuits, Samad joined the APA laboratory of Amirkabir University of Technology as a Researcher, focused on machine learning in computer security. Samad led a team of developers working on the Smart Incident Identification System project.
In 2015, Samad joined Curatio.me and held multiple roles including Data Scientist, Backend Engineer, Chief Software Architect, and eventually became the Vice President of Engineering. Samad continued their role when RxPx acquired Curatio Networks.
Throughout their career, Samad has gained expertise in various programming languages and technologies such as Delphi, MS SQL Server, PHP, MySQL, and C++.
Samad Kardan completed their education with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia, which they obtained from 2010 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned an M.Sc in Information Technology and E-Commerce from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic between 2006 and 2009. Samad began their academic journey with a B.S. in Computer Engineering - Software from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, which they completed from 2001 to 2006.
