Fredrik Ruud

Fredrik Ruud is an experienced airline captain and musician with a diverse background in aviation and the arts. Currently serving as an Airline Captain for Ryanair since March 2016, Fredrik has also held positions as a Senior First Officer and SFI/TRI for the B737-800/8200. Prior roles in aviation include Gate Coordinator at Aviator Airport Alliance Europe AB and First Officer for airBaltic. Fredrik began a career in aviation as cabin crew with Primera Air and later served as a captain for a taxiflying company operating the Pa31 Navajo/Chieftain. In addition to aviation, Fredrik has pursued a career as a freelance musician since January 1997, holding a degree in music from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Education in aviation has been supplemented by training at various flight academies from 2009 to 2013.
