Nicolas-Rafail Prokopos started their work experience in January 2016 as an Audit Assistant at EY. During this role, they gained experience in financial audits and assisted senior staff with their work. In October 2018, they were promoted to Audit Senior, where they led teams of staff, reviewed their work, and provided performance reviews. Nicolas-Rafail was also involved in reviewing higher-risk areas such as budgets/forecasts, revenue, and financial instruments in the maritime sector. In September 2021, Prokopos advanced to the position of Audit Manager at EY, where they led financial statement and internal control audits of US listed companies. Nicolas-Rafail liaised with various stakeholders and experts to ensure the accuracy of financial statements and provided on-the-job coaching to develop the skills and knowledge of their team. Prokopos also joined Rydoo as a Finance Manager in April 2023.

Nicolas-Rafail Prokopos began their education in 2009 at the Athens University of Economics and Business, where they obtained a bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BSc) with a focus on Accounting and Financial Management. Nicolas-Rafail completed their studies in 2015.

In 2016, Nicolas-Rafail Prokopos enrolled in the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) program. Nicolas-Rafail is currently pursuing a Professional Qualification in Management Decision Making, Financial Reporting, and Strategies, with an expected completion date in 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Nicolas-Rafail Prokopos has obtained several certifications. In 2005, they obtained Delf A1 and A2 certifications from the Institut français. In 2006, they earned a Certificate of Proficiency in English from the University of Michigan. Nicolas-Rafail also holds an International Computer Skills Certification (ECDL), obtained in November 2015 from the Athens University of Economics and Business. Furthermore, they obtained a Licence for Teaching English in November 2010 from the Ministry for National Education and Religious Matters.
