Debbie Buttell

Debbie Buttell is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law. Currently serving as Senior Counsel at Ryerson since August 2019, Debbie focuses on negotiating contracts and addressing commercial legal issues. Prior to this role, Debbie was Senior Legal Counsel at Sara Lee Corporation, where responsibilities included negotiating and revising contracts for the Procurement Department. Debbie's legal career began as an Associate Attorney at Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP and Mayer Brown, gaining expertise in corporate transactions, securities, and banking. Debbie holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Chicago-Kent College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from Northwestern University.
