Sport Lisboa e Benfica
Catarina Bajanca currently serves as the Lead Sports Scientist for Women's Football at Sport Lisboa e Benfica, overseeing both professional and youth teams since July 2021. Previous roles at the same organization include Sports Scientist for the Women's Football A Team and Lead Sports Scientist for Innovation & Methodology. Catarina has experience in monitoring training and game loads for elite male teams in various indoor sports. Prior to Sport Lisboa e Benfica, Catarina was a Youth Strength and Conditioning Coach and Sports Scientist at Grupo Desportivo Estoril Praia, contributing to the U23 team's championship successes. Catarina also has a background as a football player and coach, having played for multiple teams in national leagues and coached youth teams. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Sports Sciences and is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Human Kinetics at the Faculdade de Motricidade Humana.
