Sarma Modali has extensive work experience, beginning in 1979 as CEO of SM Systems & Research Corporation. From 1996 to 2000, they served as Vice President at SES. Sarma then held the position of Deputy Program Manager at both Titan Corporation and L-3 Communications from 2000 to 2003. Finally, they became Vice President at SM Resources Corporation in 2003.
Sarma Modali earned a Ph.D in Astronomy from The University of Texas at Austin, completing the degree program from 1965 to 1971.
