Robert Taylor Segraves

Robert Taylor Segraves, MD, PhD received his medical training at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and completed his psychiatric residency at the University of Chicago. He also obtained a PhD in Psycholgy at the University of London. He has spent most of his career studying and treating sexual disorders. He was on the American Psychiatric Association Taskforce on Psychosexual Disorders for DSM III R DSM IV , DSM IV TR and DSM V.. He is a past president of the Society for Sex Therapy and Research, and is the current editor of the Journal of Sex and Marital Therapy.

He has over 200 publications in the area of human sexuality , numerous national and international presentations, and five texts (the latest of which is Clinical Manual of Sexual Disorders, co-edited with Richard Balon ). He is Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland , Ohio.
