Sierra Heckman

Sierra Heckman is an accomplished Architectural Designer at S9 Architecture, where tenure began in August 2022. Prior experience includes serving as a Visual Studies Teaching Assistant at Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation from August 2020 to August 2022 and holding multiple positions at Perkins and Will, including Arch I and Architectural Intern. Sierra also contributed to the field as an Architecture Sales Associate at Blackline Supply and held leadership roles within the National Organization of Minority Architecture Students (NOMAS), including Co-Vice President and Financial Secretary. Educational qualifications include a Master of Architecture (MArch) from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, complemented by a period of study at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Community involvement includes volunteer work with Prosperity Gardens and the Champaign County Humane Society.
