Ian McLeod

Mr McLeod has over 30 years industry experience having led the transformation of Queensland’s regional

poles and wires business Ergon Energy Corporation where he was CEO from 2007 to 2016. Mr McLeod is a

non-executive director of National Narrowband Network Co and was previously a non-executive director

of Energy Networks Association as well as Chair of its Regulatory Affairs Committee. He was Chair of the

Board of Ergon Energy Telecommunications from 2012 to 2016 and Chair of the Board of Ergon Energy

Queensland from 2007 to 2015. Mr McLeod is also a director of the Smart Energy Centre of Excellence for

Enzen and Global Ambassador of Edison Electric Institute (USA). He is the Energy Sector Representative

member of the 2026 Agenda Leadership Group, a member of the Monash Energy Materials and Systems

Institute Advisory Board, and the James Cook University Engineering Advisory Board. Mr McLeod was

appointed as a non-executive director of SA Power Networks on 1 May 2020 and is also a non-executive

director of Victoria Power Networks Pty Ltd and its subsidiaries CitiPower Pty Ltd and Powercor Australia

Limited.
