Daniel Hoefel

Daniel Hoefel serves as the Senior Manager (Head of) Infrastructure Planning & Strategy at SA Water since November 2015, overseeing an infrastructure portfolio valued at approximately $14 billion to ensure sustainable water services in South Australia. With leadership experience managing teams of up to 60 staff, Daniel successfully secured over $3 billion in infrastructure investments for the 2024-2028 period. Daniel has held multiple senior management positions within SA Water, focusing on water expertise, research, quality, and treatment strategies. In addition to current responsibilities, Daniel is a Non-Executive Director at Water Research Australia and held a previous role as Performance and Innovation Manager at Allwater. Daniel holds a PhD in Applied Science from the University of South Australia and has completed various leadership and management certifications.
