Michael Nicholas

Michael Nicholas is a seasoned professional in the water industry, currently serving as the Lead Asset Planner for Water Facilities at SA Water since July 2011. In this role, Michael leads a team focused on asset planning and lifecycle decision-making for the water pipe network and support facilities, emphasizing the balance of service levels, risk management, and cost-effective customer pricing. Prior experience includes positions as a Senior Asset Planner/Engineer for Water Networks with the Asset Management Council and Chapter Chair for the Adelaide Chapter, as well as a Graduate Engineer at Veolia Water and a Water Technician with Freshwater Systems Australia. Michael holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biodiversity and Park Management from the University of South Australia and is a Certified Practitioner in Asset Management.
