Michael Szarmach

Michael Szarmach has a significant amount of work experience in various financial roles. Michael started as a Sergeant in the United States Army Reserve and served in Operation Desert Storm/Shield, earning multiple medals and ribbons. Michael then worked as an Operations Controller at Tyco Plastics, where they managed financial operations across multiple manufacturing facilities. After that, they became an Accounting Controller at HEMATECH and was responsible for financial processes. Following this, they joined Raven Industries as a Sr. Cost Accountant, overseeing financial close, cost accounting, and inventory controls. Michael led a project that resulted in a significant cost savings. Currently, they work as a Controller at SAB Biotherapeutics, managing all financial processes and assisting with the transition of the business to a public entity.

Michael Szarmach earned their Associate of Science degree in Accounting from Rochester Community and Technical College from 1986 to 1988. Following that, they pursued higher education at Minnesota State University, Mankato, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business/Management from 1988 to 1991.
