Ramin Y. Tabasi

Ramin Y. Tabasi is a Senior Material Engineer Manager at Sabert Corporation, focusing on the development of sustainable food packaging solutions and the recycling of PET and polyolefins since August 2019. Previously, Ramin served as a Product Development Specialist at Morbern Inc. and Canadian General Tower, where responsibilities included developing TPO-based moldable multilayer sheets for automotive applications and calender films for smart foil applications. Ramin held a Postdoctoral Fellow position at Lavergne Group Inc., working on PET foam development from modified recycled materials, and worked at Ecole Polytechnique Montreal as Lab Responsible, developing testing protocols and operating production lines for flexible multilayer films. Ramin’s academic background includes a PhD in Chemical Engineering/Polymer from Polytechnique Montréal and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Polymer/Plastics Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology.
