Bonaventure Muia

Bonaventure Muia has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and business intelligence. Bonaventure is currently serving as the Business Intelligence Lead for Sabi in Kenya since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Data Scientist at InQuest Research & Consulting from November 2021. Before that, they were a Data Science Trainer at NIIT Kenya from October 2020 to November 2021.

In 2018, Bonaventure joined China Gezhouba Group Co., Ltd. as a Data Scientist. Bonaventure developed a machine learning model for identifying the best make and model of Plant to buy/hire and modernized reporting and presentations using R Markdown. Their tenure ended in October 2020.

From May 2017 to October 2018, Bonaventure worked as a Data Analyst at Laterite. In this role, they gained experience in analyzing data and providing valuable insights.

Bonaventure started their career as a Data Scientist Trainee at Coca Cola Beverages Africa in Kenya in May 2014. Bonaventure worked there for three months before moving on to other roles.

In 2015, Bonaventure joined AIMs Research as a Business Intelligence Analyst. Bonaventure delivered a dashboard for recommending target customers to enhance profitability and built positive client relationships through personalized customer support. Bonaventure worked at AIMs Research until April 2017.

Overall, Bonaventure has demonstrated expertise in data science, business intelligence, and machine learning throughout their work experience.

Bonaventure Muia completed their Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics with Computing at Moi University from 2011 to 2015, specializing in Mathematics and Statistics. In addition, they obtained several certifications in various data analytics and visualization tools. These include completing the "Masterclass: SQL for Data Analytics" course at Udemy in April 2023, earning a Power BI certification from TestDome in April 2023, and completing several Power BI-related courses from different institutions throughout 2022 and 2021. Bonaventure also obtained certifications in R programming, machine learning, business analysis, and deep learning using Keras.
