Pankaj Gautam

Pankaj Gautam has extensive experience in the field of polymer and material science, serving in various leadership roles at SABIC from October 2014 to June 2022. As Leader of the Polymer and Material Science division, Pankaj managed five teams of 80 scientists globally, focusing on developing innovative polyolefinic material platforms aimed at new market applications in areas such as Design for Circularity and energy transition. In the role of Leader of the Engineering Science Department, Pankaj oversaw four teams totaling 60 scientists and engineers, achieving significant advancements in decarbonization and circularity, including the electrification of industry crackers and integration of advanced recycling technology. Additionally, Pankaj held the position of Senior Manager for Reaction Engineering & Technology Development, leading a team dedicated to novel process technologies for alternative feedstocks. Pankaj holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston and a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
