Simone Passolunghi is an experienced professional in the field of fermentation and bioprocess engineering, currently serving as the Director of Operations at SACCO SYSTEM since March 2021, overseeing coordination across multiple production sites and leading an Operations Team. Previous roles include Production Coordinator at Sacco srl, where Simone managed technology transfer and supply chain coordination, and Team Manager for Fermentation Optimization at Chr. Hansen Holding A/S, delivering solutions in collaboration with global production teams. With a Ph.D. in Chemistry of Fermentation and extensive experience in optimizing microbial processes for various applications, Simone has held significant positions in both research and industrial settings since 2001, starting as a Fermentation Scientist at Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca.
