Manas Nigam has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Manas started their career at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi as an Undergraduate Intern, where they studied reforming reactions for hydrogen production using natural resources. Manas then moved on to the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli as an Undergraduate Assistant, conducting studies on microbial fuel cell power generation.
Nigam later joined Michigan State University as a Research Assistant, where they worked on new product development and gained expertise in data analysis and process design. Manas continued their journey at Michigan State University as an International Intern, contributing to the improvement of plant operations through CAD design study and achieving groundbreaking results on the degradation of bio-based polymers.
Manas'smost recent position was at SACO AEI Polymers, where they held multiple roles. As a Process Engineer, they undertook responsibility for additive manufacturing and automotive parts production, including interaction with customers for new product development projects. Nigam then progressed to the role of Research and Development Scientist, where they conducted shelf life analysis and implemented new technologies for future company growth. Lastly, they served as a Principal Engineer, working on mapping out future technologies, collaborating with internal teams, and ensuring consistent strategies with company and customer needs.
Manas Nigam holds a Master's degree in Management (ALM) from Harvard Extension School, which was obtained from 2020 to 2023. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science (MS) in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University between 2016 and 2018. Manas'sundergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Additionally, they hold a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Management from Harvard University, obtained in 2022, and a CSSGB certification from the International Six Sigma Institute™, earned in 2018.
