Meghan Toland

Deputy Director at Sacramento Children's Museum

Meghan Toland is the current Deputy Director at Sacramento Children's Museum. Meghan has a long history of working in museum administration and has been with the Sacramento Children's Museum since 2015. Prior to their current position, they served as the Director of Museum Advancement and was responsible for fundraising, development, special events, membership, and group sales. Toland is also a yoga teacher and offers a class for young museum visitors once a week.

From November 2019 to April 2021, Toland served as the Executive Director for the Folsom Theirtorical Society. During their time there, they successfully increased fundraising revenue, donor support, and general awareness of the society. Toland began their museum career as a Volunteer Coordinator for the American River Parkway Foundation in 2013.

Meghan Toland has a Master's Degree in Public/Applied Theirtory from California State University-Sacramento and a Bachelor's Degree in Theirtory from Gonzaga University. Meghan also has a certification from Mission Met in THRIVE Strategic Planning Certification.

Meghan Toland reports to Sharon Stone Smith, Executive Director. They are on a team with Mychaela Yi - Lead Play Facilitator, Rachelle Ahmad - Education Director, and Marisol Rafanan - Membership & Reservations Coordinator.
