Cecilia Apley

Cecilia Apley has extensive experience in education and community engagement, currently serving as the Coordinator for Statewide Community Schools Initiatives at the Sacramento County Office of Education since October 2025. Prior to this role, Apley held multiple positions at the Alameda County Office of Education, including Program Director for Youth, Family and Community Engagement and Community Schools from August 2022 to September 2025, and Youth Development Specialist from August 2017 to January 2019. Apley also worked as a Migrant Education Program Advocate at the Santa Clara County Office of Education, providing support and advocacy for migrant students from November 2013 to July 2017. Earlier roles include Case Manager at the Irvine Unified School District, Direct Care Staff at South Coast Community Service and South Coast Children's Society, and Health Access Coordinator at the Children's Health Initiative of Orange County. Apley earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and Family Studies from California State University - East Bay, with a concentration in Adolescent Development.
