Cynthia Smith, CM, CFM, currently serves as Airport Manager at Sacramento International Airport since November 2020, following a tenure as Facilities Manager for Sacramento County from June 2013 to November 2020. Previously, Cynthia held the position of Facilities Director at Universal Technical Institute, where Cynthia achieved compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations through effective policy implementation and training delivery. Other roles include Vice President at Communications Unlimited and Facilities Manager at VSP, where innovative planning and operations were introduced for large-scale building projects. Additionally, Cynthia has instructional experience at California State University, Sacramento, focusing on green business operations, and served as Past President of the IFMA Sacramento Valley Chapter. Early career experience includes managing facilities nationwide at HealthNet. Cynthia holds an undergraduate degree in Business Management from American River College.
