Duy Nguyen is an accomplished academic and social work professional with extensive experience in higher education and social work practice. Currently serving as an Associate Professor and Director of the School of Social Work, as well as Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Sacred Heart University since August 2021, Duy has prior experience as Director of the Minority Fellowship Program at the Council on Social Work Education from June 2018 to August 2021. Additionally, Duy held roles as Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia University and New York University from 2018 to 2021, and as Associate Professor at Temple University from 2014 to 2016. Duy started the academic career as an Assistant Professor at New York University from August 2007 to August 2014 and worked as a Mental Health Counselor at Asian Human Services from 2000 to 2003. Duy received a Ph.D. in Social Work from Columbia University and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Washington University in St. Louis.
